Market Overview

In July, Lebanese Government Eurobonds offer prices decreased by around USD 0.5 on average along the yield curve. Lebanon CDS prices for 5 and 10 year maturities maintained their previous levels at 420 and 450 levels respectively. In the GCC region, Moody's changed outlook on Qatar's rating to negative from stable and affirmed the long-term issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings at Aa3. Qatar‘s Central bank chief says FX reserves are more than enough to withstand eco-political crisis. Moody’s also downgrades Oman to BAA2 and Bahrain from Ba2 to B1 with negative outlook, stating that the country’s credit profile is expected to continue weakening. 5 years CDS levels for the members decreased by around 10 to 20 bps.
