Documentary Collection

  • Description
    Types of documentary collections:
      • A bank guarantee which is given to the seller upon which payment of shipment is secured before the release of the documents and the settlement instructions.
        • Documents against payment (D/P) - documents are released to the buyer upon payment.
        • Documents against acceptance (D/A) - documents are released to the buyer against the latter promise/ undertaking  to pay at the agreed upon deferred payment date
        • Documents against acceptance and bank’s AVAL- documents are released to the buyer against the latter undertaking  to pay at the agreed upon deferred payment date, and bank’s AVAL guarantying payment at said date.
