Funded Trade Operations

BLC Bank provides competitive funding rates and tenor of financing through the Arab Trade Finance Program (ATFP.)
ATFP was established in 1989 as a joint Arab financial institution between the Arab Central Banks and the Private and Public Arab Banking and Financial Institutions. ATFP’s mission is to contribute to the development of Arab trade and to the increase of the competitive capabilities of the Arab producers and exporters.
BLC Bank and ATFP have an ongoing cooperation agreement renewable yearly; Thus, BLC Bank became a National Agency.
This program provides funds to BLC Bank who which will in turn transfer them to its clients who exports and imports in the Arab countries, trading in goods eligible for funding by the program.
Eligible goods and services are:

  • Goods and Services produced or manufactured in an Arab country of raw material and other production factors originating in that country or in any other Arab country.
  • Or if the percentage of value added, thereto in the relevant Arab countries, amounts to 40% or more.
  • Capital Goods of non-Arab origin imported for production activities that help in the development of exports and factors of production, provided that the final product should be of an Arab origin.
