To maintain an edge in the ever-growing banking industry, BLC Bank decided in 2004 to enter the promising insurance market. To manage the portfolio of insurance activities, BLC Bank created a fully-owned subsidiary, BLC Services s.a.l.
After careful assessment of the market place, BLC Bank s.a.l in cooperation with Libano-Suisse s.a.l, a leading insurance company in Lebanon, launched in January 2005 “Awlawiyati” a highly competitive Bank insurance product grouping that covers life, education, retirement, home, personal accident and car insurance plans. The introduced products offer BLC Bank existing and potential clients a comprehensive array of relevant and competitively priced products.
Furthermore, BLC Bank, BLC Services and Libano Suisse, cooperated on the introduction of Unemployment Credit Insurance that protects the insured client from the consequences of involuntary unemployment, thus enabling him to meet his financial obligations towards BLC Bank and providing him comfort and support. This is a pioneering insurance concept in Lebanon which is in line with BLC Bank’s mission of reaching out and supporting all levels of the Lebanese society adding real value to the products and services offered to its clients.
